| Thursday afternoon training
is held at Hamlyn Park oval in Calvert Street, Hamlyn Heights.
We will recommence training on
Thursday 27th January when school
returns in 2005.
Thursday afternoon training starts at 4:30pm with a fun warmup. Then we
do some stretching and some running. We move on to some specific event practice such as sprinting, or starting,
jumping or throwing. The equipment available to us includes some shots and discus. A small but enthusiastic group
of children come to training on Thursday. It is led by Janet Nixon. We finish at 5:30pm.
|
| Children registered with Manifold Hamlyn Park Little Athletics Club are welcome to come to either or both training sessions. The more children who
come along, the more fun it can be. We play lots of different games to learn the skills that we need for athletics.
If you prefer
to do your own training that is OK too.
